For larger or more complex supplies, we consider bespoke supplier offers where appropriate. The meter arrangement, start date and consumption profile can all affect the options.
We compare unit rates alongside standing charges, capacity and relevant additional costs. We explain what is fixed, what can change and our commission before you agree.
For a high-consumption site, a small difference in the quoted rate can make a substantial difference to the budget. We discuss dates, available offers and the market with you. Gas and electricity can be considered separately. See why renewal timing matters.
When energy use runs into millions of kWh, fractions of a penny matter. Give your next contract attention before the renewal deadline arrives.

An alert starts a conversation. It does not commit you to a contract.
Wholesale movements do not translate directly into the same change in supplier quotes. Monitoring cannot guarantee the lowest price.
A supply can carry decisions made years ago. Different equipment, fewer shifts or a change of use can be a reason to review the charges you already pay.
We establish the supply position first and identify the relevant checks. We do not assume that every site can reduce every charge.
Some capacity, metering and billing reviews can be considered during the existing term. The available route depends on your supply arrangements.
Review half-hourly consumption data, maximum demand and agreed capacity against current and planned equipment needs. We establish the headroom the site needs before discussing any reduction with the network operator.
Explore kVA reviews ↗Check the recorded charging band and its basis. Where site circumstances or records warrant investigation, we establish the evidence and the applicable review route. Reducing agreed capacity does not automatically reduce the residual charging band; separate assessment and review rules apply.
Review whether the meter and settlement arrangements suit the supply. A Change of Measurement Class is a site-specific assessment, rather than an automatic saving.
Explore measurement class reviews ↗The British Industrial Competitiveness Scheme (BICS) provides electricity cost relief from 2027 for eligible businesses. Eligibility depends on the applicable criteria and evidence, not just being a manufacturer. It is separate from the British Industry Supercharger. Use the checker for an initial assessment and current application information.
Start with the BICS checker ↗For an anonymised UK manufacturing business, we reviewed 24 months of demand and capacity history. The site was reserving considerably more capacity than its actual demand required.
The DNO confirmed the reduction from 1,000 kVA to 70 kVA, effective from 1 June 2026. The case study sets out the data, decision and calculation.
Read the manufacturing case study ↗You don’t need to gather every document first. A bill is useful, but we can start with the site address and what you know about the supply.
Choose a renewal quote, a review of existing charges, or both. Share a bill or the details you have, including any deadlines, production changes or supplier issues.
For renewals, we compare suitable offers and explain the total cost, terms and commission. For technical reviews, we establish the evidence, investigate the relevant charges and explain the available options and any fees.
You agree the next action before we proceed. That may mean arranging a supplier contract or progressing an agreed review with the supplier or network operator. Your Smart Energy adviser stays involved.
Opening a site, adding equipment or relocating production can change what you need from the supply. We help coordinate metering and connection enquiries alongside contract planning.
